As already mentioned, sack gardening is not hard to start. You can start it using the following how-to guide.

1. The materials needed include the following:

a. Gravel.

b. Sacks, preferably coffee sacks.

c. Organic compost and mix it with topsoil.

d. A round container (about 9 inches in diameter) with the top and bottom cut out.

e. A knife.

f. A shovel.

g. Crops ready for planting.

2. Place the sack on flat ground and put a small layer of soil (about 4 inches) at its bottom.

3. On top of the soil, insert the round container just in the centre of the sack.

4. Fill the container with gravel up to its brim. The coarse aggregate is for drainage and water distribution in the sack.

5. Shovel the earth around the gravel-filled container. When the soil reaches the top of the container, lift the container slowly, leaving the stones in the centre to create more space for adding gravel. Add more gravel to the container and more soil around the container. Repeat the same process until the sack is full. The sack’s centre should consist of stones only.

6. With a knife, make small holes and plant crops on your sack. 4 crops at the top and about eight crops on the side measuring 2 feet high. Water the plants immediately after planting them.

What Else?

7. Cover the top of the sack with grass to retain water.

8. Follow steps 1-7 to make as many bags as you need in your garden. Space your sacks for easy movement when watering your garden. That space also allows the crops on the sides to get enough light for healthy growth.

9. Water your sack garden every day early in the morning. You pour water through the column of gravel on each sack. But you can also power water on the sides of each.

10. To run a successful sack gardening business, you should add manure. To make manure for your sack gardening business, follow the following steps:

a) First, get different types of grass.

b) Secondly, put the grass in a drum up to the top.

c) Thirdly, power water up to the brim and cover the drum.

d) Then wait for one week for the grass to make manure.

e) Lastly, get the green water (it usually smells and attracts flies) and mix it with fresh water. Use the ratio of 1:1. Power the manure directly on the plants once a week or two weeks. Your plants will grow so fast. They will look so healthy and attractive.

The whole process takes about an hour. But with experience, you can do it in a shorter time. Your sack gardening business can give you money every day and throughout the year. Do you have any questions? Ask your question through the comment section.

The reason why you put gravel is to allow water to spread to the plants easily.
