In one of our recent articles, we mentioned door hanger marketing<\/strong> as one of the most effective zero budget marketing methods<\/a>. Ugandan businesses do not commonly use this marketing technique. I haven\u2019t come across a company in Uganda marketing using door hangers.<\/p>\n

What Is Door Hanger Marketing?<\/h2>\n

Door hanger marketing<\/strong> is a marketing technique whereby printed material is used to hang on the doors, thus the name door hangers. Door hangers are a print advertising aid bearing marketing messages, which you hang on doors of your prospects\u2019 homes, offices or businesses. People use them to promote their products and services. They are such a great marketing tool because they allow you to target specific people in specific areas and demographics.<\/p>\n

All that you need to do is to come up with a good design that will command attention among your target customers<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have excellent design skills, you can hire someone to do it for you. Print a good number of them with your company name, contact information and the products\/services you offer. Punch a hole in each of them. After office hours, move with them to your target customers\u2019 office and hang them on their office doors. When they come to work in the morning, they will not miss seeing them as they open the doors.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, move to residential areas where your target customers live and hang them on the doors in their homes. When they return from work, they are welcomed by the door hangers as they open to enter. Briefly, that\u2019s what door hanger marketing is all about.<\/p>\n

Lastly, use your staff<\/span><\/strong> to distribute your door hangers to your target customers. It\u2019s essential to work with a plan so that you don\u2019t have to distribute them haphazardly.<\/p>\n

Door hanger marketing is an effective marketing technique many Ugandans have not yet explored. Many businesses in the Uganda market with brochures, which are expensive to produce; however, they are not as effective as door hangers. It’s why I appeal to small businesses with limited budgets to embrace door hanger marketing because it\u2019s not an expensive promotional way to get the word out to a large group of potential customers.<\/p>\n
