This elegantly designed lampshade depicts the image of a handmade clay pot<\/a>, a social tool deeply entrenched in the Ugandans’ ways of life.<\/p>\n Traditionally, clay pots were essential tools in any family with various uses. They were, indeed, multi-purpose. Our grandparents used them to fetch and store water. Since they had no modern fridges, clay pots served as fridges to keep drinking water cold and with a pleasant taste. They also served as cooking utensils. If you have ever tasted pot-cooked beef, you may not want to eat any more beef cooked in modern cooking utensils.<\/p>\n Even in modern times, clay pots are still visible in many communities in Uganda, with people using them to serve various purposes. At Goleza Designers Ltd<\/strong>, we chose to promote this traditional useful tool by crafting a custom wooden lampshade<\/a> with a pot design, which we have named the pot lampshade.<\/p>\n The Goleza pot lampshade<\/strong>, like our other handmade wooden lampshade designs, produces a striped shadow on the ceiling and walls as well. It\u2019s eco-friendly because we craft it from local wood, a natural material. Our standard size is approximately 27 cm high and 29.5 cm wide.
