Buying Online – What Are The Benefits Of Buying Online?

Business Ideas

buying online

Do you ever buy online? How often do you transact business online? What I have discovered is that a good number of people still shy away from buying online. Most people, especially in the developing world, Ugandans inclusive, have not ventured into transacting business online. But remember that the internet is a creation that was invented to improve our lives by doing everything with just a click of your mouse. Through this article, I would like to share with you some of the benefits of buying online.

First, buying online saves time and energy. To purchase a phone from a supermarket, 5 kilometres away from your home, you will have to prepare yourself first, get your car and move to the supermarket. What I mean is that you spend your valuable time and waste your energy doing something you would still do with just a click of a mouse. Remember that time is limited and a valued resource. My friend, save your time by buying online!

In Uganda, online stores like jumia.ug have recently come up. They provide high-quality products and brand new products at competitive prices. Unfortunately, most Ugandans are still reluctant to transact business with them.

Other benefits of buying online

#1- Convenience

When you buy from a retail store, at times you go through a lot of traffic jam that makes you feel disgusted and tired. If you are to walk or travel by public means, you may have to move under the scorching sun or drizzle. But people, who buy online, avoid the bother and risks involved in walking to buy from the conventional retail store. They make their orders online, and in no time, they get the ordered items delivered, especially if they are downloadable products. Even with physical products, you go to pick it once delivered to the address of the destination. Don’t you find it convenient?

#2- Monetary benefit.

Earning from the store where you buy your products is one of the most significant benefits you will ever enjoy. Just join the affiliate program of the company from which you buy your items online, promote the products and earn a commission. By so doing, you kill two birds with one stone. You benefit from using the product and earn income from promoting it as well.

It’s not the case when you buy from a traditional retail store. You do not earn from the people you refer to most popular businesses around you. I virtually earn additional income in the form of commission from all the products I use, e.g. web hosting, software and many others. It’s better to market the products you have ever used.

#3- Benefit of buying new products

Online items are, in most cases, brand new and genuine items. Besides, you have a wide selection of products. It’s because you buy from big, established online stores like TripleClicks and Amazon, which have a name to protect and where products are from many sources. You get the products delivered to you according to the specifications you give. Risks of buying fake or forfeited items are minimal because they procure the products from genuine manufacturers. Do you see the benefit of buying online?

#4 – Safety

Buying online is safer than buying from a nearby retail store within your vicinity. Most established online sellers have built their reputation on safe and secure shopping. They have a name to protect, and their success depends largely on their online credibility. It may not be the case with some of the traditional businesses within your locality. Buying online enables you to avoid risks of buying forfeited and expired items and being cheated.

#5 – Exposure to the clearing process

How knowledgeable are you with the clearing process? Have you ever involved yourself in clearing any items in your country? Exposure to the clearing process of your products is another benefit. I had little knowledge about it before I started transacting business online. But buying online helped me to clear my goods personally and to learn the whole clearing process. I can import anything online and work on its clearance with ease. Most of the expensive equipment we use in our business, we bought them online from USA, Japan, UAE, South Africa and Canada. It’s a process every business minded person should learn.

#5 – Easy payment

Secure payment is another benefit of buying online. It’s simple to pay for any item you buy if you have a credit card. You click on the mouse and payment is made instantly. There is no hurdle, no struggle, no wasting time and no worries. It’s as simple as filling your payment details in the form provided, and that’s all.

#6 – Saves money

Buying online saves you a lot of money spent on travel expenses, meals and taxes. Besides, the products are relatively cheaper compared to the products at your retail store. I always pity businesspeople, who spend significant amounts of money on travelling across countries in the name of importing goods. Why spend your hard earned money on air tickets, accommodation and expensive meals each time you have to import the same products from the same exporter? It’s high time you made arrangements to start doing your business online. That’s what I do and what you, too, should explore. You will minimise your costs and maximise your profits.

The internet has simplified our lives in many aspects. Everyone in his/her field of work can use it. But what surprises me is that most people have not taken advantage of this fantastic invention. I get shocked when educated people, the people who would benefit from it most, cannot proficiently use it to improve their livelihood and service delivery. On the other side, I feel motivated by the growing number of internet users that join the World Wide Network. If you are still hesitating and conservative with your conventional way of doing business, you will be left behind a thousand times. Selling and buying online is the modern way of transacting business. Don’t be left behind!

Conclusion

As I wind up, I would like to remind you that the life of a cubical slave is gone. The internet opened our eyes and is still opening great opportunities to all of us. The onus is on you to discover how best you can benefit from this superb invention that has changed the lives of many people. Do not be left behind! Do your shopping the modern way!

Caution! As you buy anything online, be aware of fraudulent people. While buying online is good and a modern way of doing things, you take care of not losing your money to the wrong people. For more information on this, find out how to avoid being cheated when buying on the internet.
